Paget Rangers produced their most disappointing display of the season on Saturday losing to struggling Coventry Copsewood by three goals to nil at Coles Lane.
The Bears never got going and fell behind in the 24th minute when Sean Kavanagh made no mistake to slot the ball home. The first half closed out with little in terms of attacking quality from either side and the Bears were fortunate to go into the break only the one goal behind. Shortly into the second half in an attempt to turn the match in Paget’s favour, manager Jason Lanns made a triple substitution including the debut of new singing Montel Gibson. The Bears however were to fall further behind in the 55th minute. A cross from the left wasn’t cleared and only Copsewood skipper, Lawrence Rawlings reacted to prod the ball home unmarked at the far post. In the 75th minute Paget finally created a decent chance, Montel Gibson unlucky to see his goal bound effort cleared off the line. It was game over in the 83rd minute however when a super counter attacking move from Coventry Copsewood was completed by Lawrence Rawlings as he shot past Conal Dowling from 20 yards to send the visitors home with the three points.
