As we look through the archive it is clear that Paget Rangers have been very successful on the 29th August, in the eight games for which we have the result, Paget have won on six occasions, drawn once and lost once. We run through each result below:
29/08/1953 – Paget Rangers continued their unbeaten start to the Worcestershire Combination season by securing a victory at Quarry Bank Celtic. The Bears running out winners by three goals to one.
29/08/1959 – The Bears continued their perfect start to the 1959/60 season by beating Lower Gornal Athletic by three goals to one at Springfield Road. Zeff, Clifford and Broadhead the Paget scorers. The team line-up that day was:

29/08/1970 – Paget began their Midland Combination Challenge Cup campaign with a four one win against Astwood Bank. Compton Edwards grabbing two of the goals for the Bears. Paget would go onto win the cup, beating Birmingham City Police, Highgate United, Alvechurch and Oldbury United along the way.

29/08/1987 – Paget’s tough start to their debut season in the Southern League continued with this one nil reverse at Halesowen Town. A bumper crowd of 970 watched the Yeltz victory.
29/08/1992 – A disappointing crowd of 30 saw Paget win by four goals to two at Oldswinford in this West Midlands Regional League fixture. Paget’s goals were scored by Wareing (2), McCarthy and Nugent.
29/08/1998 – Paget Rangers secured a battling one nil victory away at Evesham United in the Southern League in front of just 68 spectators.
29/08/2015 – Paget Rangers produced a thrilling comeback to secure a four all draw at local rivals Chelmsley Town in the Midland Football League. A hattrick for Daniel Carter and a goal from Mark Bellingham rescued a point for the Bears. Attendance 38.
29/08/2016 – Paget’s charge towards Midland Football League promotion continued with a five one victory away at Bloxwich Town. The Bears shared the goals around with five different players getting their names on the scoreheet. Paget’s scorers were; Craig Evans, Matthew Coates, Ross Dempster, Daniel Carter and Mark Bellingham. Attendance 40.
